K-2/3rd Grade PRACTICE ATTIRE, UNIFORMS

For practices and games, all players should have:

  • Shin guards & cleats (Pre-K can optionally wear sneakers)

  • Soccer socks or long tube socks to cover shin guards

  • Soccer ball (pumped up)

  • Water bottle

  • K-2 Intramural players will receive a team shirt at the start of the season at the Saturday games from their volunteer coach. Team shirts are to be worn for Saturday games.  They are optional / not required for clinics.

    • K-2/3 teams will be sent by email prior to the start of games. You do not need this for the first clinics.

3-8th Grade Equipment/Attire

We’ve received questions about equipment, here’s what you need to know:

At each event, players need:

  • Ball (Size 5: grades 5 - 8, Size 4: grades 3 & 4)

  • Shin guards

  • Cleats

  • Water bottle

  • Bag to hold everything in

  • Proper soccer attire (see below)

  • Mask - mask should be worn to the field and from the field. They are not required for active play. If a player opts to play in a mask, gaiter-style masks are not allowed for safety reasons.

WSA Uniforms are optional.  About half the children are wearing the uniform on any given day so there should be no pressure to purchase “to fit in”.  If you are interested to purchase a uniform, you may order by visiting The WSA webstore .

Regardless of if the players are wearing the WSA uniforms or not, they should bring all of the following to Saturday scrimmages (wearing one of the shirts).  All are available in the webstore if you choose to purchase:

  • Blue jersey or dark (blue/black) shirt

  • White jersey or shirt

  • Athletic shorts

  • Soccer socks

  • Pinnie

FIELD CLOSURE UPDATES

  • Please register with Wilton Parks & Recreation’s eTrak platform for field status notifications to your mobile phone. Go to My Account -> Mailing Lists -> Check Box for Field Closings

  • If fields are closed, clinics and games are generally canceled unless you are notified otherwise
